these arent too popular because of how unsafe covering your headlight is. Id say dont cover it...the more "stealth" you are the less drivers around you can see you. If anything throw some hids on the bike to increase your visibility.

 

Headlight cover? Those two words don't seem to go together. :dunno

 

i black housed my headlight.. you will lose your high beams by doing so

 

took me about 3 hours... that includes removing the front cowling taking apart the headlight.. using a heat gun to open the actual headlight cover.. masking and painting.. and waiting for it to dry before closing everything up!

btw the main reason i decided to do this was.. i was going to do the ccfl halo ring around the projector... there is an awesome thread on this website... but... that didn't work out since i broke the actual ccfl ring that i had.. so i said faack it.. and i just sprayed it... turned out great! where you at though?? i'm over in venice beach...roll through sometime.. 705 lincoln blvd. venice ca 90291 it's my business.

 

You are super close to me man...not sure id want to black out the headlight but since you know how to remove the front headlight im sure you could help me install some halos if i wanted too, i think blue halos would look pretty tight :drool

How much light did you lose tho tinting the headlight?

 

Doesn't look tinted, just spray painted black. I would guess he lost his high beams. Low beam would have no difference since it is a HID Housing.

 

+1 ^ feel free to come down to venice when you get a chance to check it out or for any bike repairs or install. i actually changed my highbeams to 3k hids so they look like yellow fog lights.. etc.. since there isn't anything to reflect off of.. and yes i did spray paint the inside with high temp primer. anyways let me know if you roll through. 705 lincoln blvd. venice ca 90291 also if you wanna come out and ride with us wed night let me know

 

and no problem with the ccfl ring/angel eye.. just make sure you have the proper size in mm and also an inverter for it otherwise .... GG
