Gosh those are brutally ugly ass bikes. I was thinking more like a Mick Doohan helmet. I have 2 of em! Blue white black grey and bright orange. There was a nice 90 gsxr Poncho GSXR with light blue wheels seen in a early 90 magazine. The bike I bought and used parts off of came with hot pink and black paint schemes. It looks like shit now, Right colors and paint scheme I m sure there has to be some nice looking bikes or ideas.

 

What were they thinking? Those colors looked like shit in the 80's and even worse now. Some people just need to have some sense slapped into them.

 

I would never repeat ever paint over stock parts. I'm building back my 87 750 just need left and lower from that dude guy who makes them. I have (2) 86 750 red and blacks (1) red and black 87 750. (1) 87 blue and white and (1) 86 GSXR 1100 blue and white body parts most are complete and some need a couple more parts. I was thinking with left over shit I could have some fun and bust out a nice custom paint job. Maybe endurance type paint job. These bike are soo boxy you have to be careful not to over do it.

oldschool...bike looks great,,but what's up with the ass in the air look of the back end,,,is the shock about 5 inches too long??that REALLY takes away from a beautifully done resto..

 

I like the rider height gives it the hot rod look. It was perfect height when the woman on the cell phone cut me off and hit that curb. I got a nice take off from it! New bikes got that look too see....
